Money or Ministry????

I recently spoke to a friend regarding some changes at his/her church. As has become common practice of this generation i ministry, the focuse has transitionend from saving souls to making money. This can be a very precarious situation, because on the one hand you love your Pastor.... Then on the other, if they are not feeding God's people what the need for spiritual growth, that is a problem. Christ gave leaders one objective He said, "if you love me, feed (not fleece) my sheep".

As a church leader, I understand competely the neccesity of raising Kingdom Finances. The Bible instructs us to bring (both) ALL the Tithes and Offerings in the storehouse. Therefore the people of God have a spiritual obligation to ensure the survival of the church. The reality is that when we as HIS people obey what The Word says, we align ourselves with the heavenly blessing wndow. Essentially, there is little we can do besides pray for and cover our leaders. There have been an influx of pastors talking about the recession and the corporate Bail outs the last few months. Although ministries across the land are feeling the financial crunch of a sinking ecoomy, and lower offerings.... This is not the time to compromise the integrity of our office. I believe that no matter how the world's economy fluctuates, I will not suffer lack.

The Bible declares that "The just shall live by FAITH!" My grandfather would say it ike this... "My hope is built on nothing less than Christ's blood & His righteousess." The most important thing we as the congregation (and God's body at large) can do is develp a REAL relationship with God. (to be continued....)
