HOW TO RECOVER FROM BAD DECISIONS

Throughout this life we all have made, and will continue to make, bad decisions. And it is extremely easy to give in to a mentality of defeat. The only was to recover from a bad decision is to follow David's model. Acknowledge that its your fault, accept God's consequence for your decision, ask forgiveness, then pick yourself up and move on.

Money or Ministry????

I recently spoke to a friend regarding some changes at his/her church. As has become common practice of this generation i ministry, the focuse has transitionend from saving souls to making money. This can be a very precarious situation, because on the one hand you love your Pastor.... Then on the other, if they are not feeding God's people what the need for spiritual growth, that is a problem. Christ gave leaders one objective He said, "if you love me, feed (not fleece) my sheep".

As a church leader, I understand competely the neccesity of raising Kingdom Finances. The Bible instructs us to bring (both) ALL the Tithes and Offerings in the storehouse. Therefore the people of God have a spiritual obligation to ensure the survival of the church. The reality is that when we as HIS people obey what The Word says, we align ourselves with the heavenly blessing wndow. Essentially, there is little we can do besides pray for and cover our leaders. There have been an influx of pastors talking about the recession and the corporate Bail outs the last few months. Although ministries across the land are feeling the financial crunch of a sinking ecoomy, and lower offerings.... This is not the time to compromise the integrity of our office. I believe that no matter how the world's economy fluctuates, I will not suffer lack.

The Bible declares that "The just shall live by FAITH!" My grandfather would say it ike this... "My hope is built on nothing less than Christ's blood & His righteousess." The most important thing we as the congregation (and God's body at large) can do is develp a REAL relationship with God. (to be continued....)

Who's The Daddy? (Spriritual Bastards in the church)....

The Bible declares that there are many teachers, but few fathers... But in this generation of the church, there seems to be an influx of spiritual parents, and even more spiritual bastards. However, what the text is trying to teach us is that every mentor cannot be your Spiritual Father. The word father is most commonly defined as the male parent of an offspring, he is the one who caries the seed. And role of every parent is to assist in the development of the child unto adulthood. In other words, it is the role of a spiritual parent to assist you in your spiritual development and cause a level of maturity to be birthed in you.

Every diamond has a certification which is derived from the process the diamond has gone through. And each diamond refiner has a trademark way of cutting diamonds. Therefore, before purchase a diamond's value can easily be assessed based on the process it has gone through (ie, cut, clarity, color and size).

The point I am trying to illuminate is... what process have you gone through to certify you for Sonship? Conversely, how can every Pastor and Bishop be your Spiritual Father? In this generation, the church has accepted a bastardized ministry structure in which there is no process, no proving and no preparation for effective soul wining.

And there are WAAAAAAAY too many Pastors and leaders in the church calling members of their ministry Sons & Daughters. I have a question.... How can you be my father in the ministry if you never sew seed in the womb of the Spirit to cause me to be birthed? And if you cannot keep your own lights on in your church, how (as a Bishop) can you be a covering/ father to me?

So before you go calling someone your spiritual father, as yourself WHAT INVESTMENT they have made in you.... And WHAT RELATIONSHIP do you have to them so they can effectively invest.

Again I ask..... WHO's the Daddy?
